The five cabins sit on the bank of the James River in Galena, Missouri, elevated above the water with decks that look straight out over the river and a rock island below that guests fish and wade from.
The James is one of the most popular float rivers in the Ozarks, and outfitters in town rent canoes, kayaks, and tubes with shuttle service. If you would rather stay put, you can spend the day on the island or the deck, then gather at the fire pit once the sun goes down.
Inside, each cabin is finished with a full kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and a private deck with rocking chairs. Some add a jacuzzi tub, bunk beds and an arcade machine for kids, or a telescope for clear Ozark nights.

Beautiful riverfront! We saw lots of wildlife outside, enjoyed evening walks to the Historic Y Bridge, and did a little fishing with the kids. Close enough to the busy attractions without the noise and lights. So peaceful watching the fireflies at night! Great recommendations and communication from the hosts.

We cooked a lot of homemade meals from the kitchen and played games at the large table. We loved that the location is so close to the float trip experiences — but even better, you get your little piece of heaven in your backyard! We fished from the rock island, grilled, and enjoyed the fire pit. An incredible experience we will definitely stay here again!

This cabin has a great location right on the river with easy access and several outfitters nearby for a float trip. The cabin is very clean and well maintained — we have never had an issue and we come back every year to stay here.
